Referencing PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) using the Vancouver style of referencing.

We’ve had a few enquiries recently about how to reference the PRISMA flow chart using the Vancouver style of referencing.

Below is an example of how to do this in-text and in the reference list.

 In-text: Give the PRISMA flow chart a title. Remember the citation number goes after the full-stop. Your citation can be placed in square or round brackets or you can use superscript- just be consistent throughout you assignment.
